WALKING IN THE QUANTOCKS

The Quantock Hills are a designated AONB (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) and most of the land is ‘open access’ meaning that there is a right to roam (subject to restrictions click here). There are plenty of footpaths, open moorland and forestry tracks to explore in our 99km² of beautiful countryside.

HEALTH MATTERS

Occasionally accidents happen and emergencies arise. A little forward planning will help you prepare for these events.

If an incident does occur, then it is always sensible to call the vet first (see below) as they will be able to advise on the best course of action. As a rule, if an incident does occur, then do not give the dog food or water (except water for heatstroke) – just in case some form of procedure is required.
