Dog Friendly |

We are very dog friendly here at the Old Cider House. Our Orchard Room is ideally suited to our canine guests as it's on the ground floor and owners can pop out early mornings or late at night for those important little tinkles (dogs that is - not owners!) We limit dogs to 2 both in the houseand make a small charge. We have a few simple rules - Ozy, our resident Labrador, details them below: o We are not allowed in the dining room and never in the kitchen (even me!). We can go into the lounge if we are very, very good and don’t annoy other guests or jump on the sofas
o We’re not allowed on the beds (bad luck!)
o If we make a mess in the house our owners have to clean it up – there’s a supply of cleaning materials on request. o If we do poos in the garden or elsewhere in the village these must be cleared up – there’s a supply of doggie bags available from my owners and a blue poo bin behind the last cottage. o You can eat in your room or outside. Beware, if I’m around I tend to eat other dogs’ food ‘cos I am greedy o My owners make a small charge for dogs in the house of £3.50 for the first night and £2.00 for each successive night (whatever that means) o If you chew or damage anything – beware, my owners will ask your owners to pay for the damage
o Try to get your owners to stay with you rather than leaving you in your room while they go out. The Ancient Mariner and Rose & Crown pubs are both dog friendly. Alternatively, why not eat in? o There are plenty of walks around the village and in the Quantock Hills which are on the doorstep o No barking (which includes yapping when left alone for a few minutes - big girls' blouses!), fighting, smoking, gambling or eating the chickens o Don’t play with my toys – or else!
