We shall be supporting British Breakfast Week again this year with a week of special breakfasts at The Old Cider House, Nether Stowey.

For the whole week we will be providing the most imaginative breakfasts in Somerset for our bed and breakfast guests. Will we be cooking from the finest ingredients the local area has to offer, sausages and bacon from Fauns, our local butcher, eggs from our own hens (Monica, Gabriella, Bluebell, Eve, Pew and Angelina) and home made breads, buns and cakes.

Dogs BreakfastWe will also be making our famous FURMITY - a dish made from oats, brown sugar, raisins, cream and RUM! This is the meal that the fictitious John Henchard (the Mayor of Casterbridge – Thomas Hardy) ate before he sold his wife and is based on a true story of a wife selling at the Bridgwater Fair in the eighteenth century.

As we are one of the UK's most DOG FRIENDLY B&Bs all guests staying with a canine companion will receive a dogs breakfast pack of home-made, healthy goodies.

Rooms from £30pppn and dogs go FREE during this special week!
