Poets Room - £70.00 (£45.00) Samuel Taylor Coleridge lived for three years just around the corner in Lime Street and wrote some of his most famous poems whilst living in the village. To continue with the Coleridge connection this beautiful double room has a wall covered with poems written by guests - all of whom are invited to contribute - so bring a quill! Orchard Room - £60.00 (£45.00) We've recently refurbished this room to give it a more Edwardian feel. Period apple and cider prints adorn the walls giving a sense of the house's history. The room is situated on the ground floor with a mobility accessible bathroom. This is also our dog friendly room as it stays cool throughout the year and has no direct sunlight - however, in the winter it is our warmest room. Lounge Our large and comfortable lounge is perfect for relaxing and winding down after a day's sightseeing or walking in the beautiful Quantock Hills. Decorated in keeping with the house's former Edwardian glory, the deep 'art gallery' red walls and open log fire make the room cosy at nights and ideal for reading, struggling with the crossword or playing a board game. |
Dining Room Again in keeping with the age of the house, the dining room is designed with an art nouveau feel. At breakfast time the sun lights up the room giving a welcoming fresh airy feeling. In the evenings the room takes on an intimate bistro atmosphere with candles and soft ambient music in the background. |
