The weather forecast for Saturday evening was fine and when we suggested a Spanish evening, eating out in the garden, our guests were very keen.
We spent the day preparing an eight course tapas starter (the king prawns wrapped in rice and breadcrumbs were very nice) with paella to follow and a passion fruit cheesecake. The Stowey ale flowed, as did the Spanish red and white and next thing we knew Saturday was slowing waning and we had all talked the night away.
We are more than happy to run themed evenings for enthusiastic guests and, to tell you the truth, it doesn’t feel like work! Let there be many more.
