For country walks the Quantocks are one of the UK’s best walking routes. This Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty – the first in England, is synonymous with walks and walking with 99 square kilometres of, mainly, open access land to wander in. Whilst covering a compact area the Quantock Hills offer some of the best mountain biking terrain in Britain.

Cider Trails – Visit the famous Somerset cider farms and taste the local ciders
Somerset has a long history of cider making, so have your own mini cider festival in some of the farm cider producers close to the Quantock Hills. Whether you like Thatchers cider, or cider brandy or a traditional scrumpy spend a few days with us and visit our local cider producers.
Star Gazing – The Quantocks (and Exmoor) are ideal for Dark Skies
If you like the sly at night and stargazing the Quantock Hills have very little light polution. A short drive (or even walk) will take you into our National Park like Quantocks. Exmoor a Dark Skies Reserve is also nearby.
